Deborah Luster

Deborah Luster is most acknowledged for her emotion packed prison series, One Big Self, which stems from Terrence Malick’s film, The Thin Red Line. Luster photographs with power, often sharing a remarkable grace of humanitarianism, which is incredibly beautiful when you think of the loss Luster had endured when her mother was killed by a contract killer in 1988. Luster’s photographs are a beautiful coping glimpse of the people around her.
